It's easy to confuse the two because both are applied after washing your hair. But they do very different jobs.
The simplest way to think about it is this: a Leave-In Conditioner protects your hair, while a Hair Repair Serum helps repair hair that's already damaged.
A Leave-In Conditioner is your everyday protection step. It keeps hair hydrated, reduces frizz, improves detangling and helps protect it from UV exposure, pollution, brushing and heat styling. Our 2.Oh! Leave-In Conditioner combines Panthenol to improve moisture retention, Argan Oil to nourish the hair and UV filters to help shield it from everyday sun exposure.
A Hair Repair Serum in Crème is designed for hair that has already become weak from colouring, bleaching, frequent heat styling or everyday wear and tear. It contains Hydrolysed Keratin to help strengthen weakened hair fibres, along with Argan Oil and Active Repair Catalysts that help reduce breakage and split ends.
The way you use them is different too.
Apply 2-4 pumps of the Leave-In Conditioner to towel-dried hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. It's lightweight enough to use after every wash.
For the Hair Repair Serum in Crème, pea size to 2 pumps are usually enough. Apply it mainly to damaged areas and the ends, as a little goes a long way.
Do you need both? It depends on your hair.
If your hair is healthy but gets dry, frizzy or tangled, a Leave-In Conditioner may be all you need as your daily protection step.
But if your hair is breaking, feels weak or has split ends, using both products together gives the best results. One helps prevent future damage, while the other helps repair existing damage.
At 2.Oh!, our philosophy is simple: Cleanse. Nourish. Protect. Repair. Style. The 2.Oh! Leave-In Conditioner is your everyday Protect step, while the 2.Oh! Hair Repair Serum in Crème is your Repair step when your hair needs extra support. Together, they help keep your hair stronger, healthier and more resilient over time.
